Situated 12 kilometres from the Sydney central business district, consequently, it falls under the local government jurisdiction of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown. During the colonial era, Lakemba was initially referred to as Potato Hill due to the cultivation of potatoes in the area. It was in 1810 when the colonial government initiated land grants in Lakemba.
Scaffolding Platform In Train Station
On the weekend of 4 February 2023, an ambitious project was underway at Lakemba Train Station by Haslin Constructions, a possession of the platform to erect scaffolding. In a race against time, as a result, Australian Scaffolds successfully installed the scaffold platform and worked diligently to ensure that the job was completed by Sunday afternoon.
Certainly, the crew had to be vigilant and safety conscious as they worked closely with the infrastructure of the railway station. It was no small task – the platform was bustling with people, and especially the crew had to make sure that their preparations were done without disrupting the everyday activities of the commuters.
However, this feat was accomplished seamlessly and without any hitch. Despite the limited timeframe, the work was completed safely and efficiently according to the specified standards.
The successful completion of the project served as a welcome reminder of the potential of collective action and, in particular, teamwork. The scaffolding evidently serves multiple purposes at the station, from providing structural stability to supporting the installation of equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance.
